Integrity. Experience. Practicality.

Lea is committed to integrity in the legal system, in particular, its capacity to deliver timely and improved outcomes for all private, corporate and state and Commonwealth government participants. Her experience encompasses a broad spectrum of industries with Commonwealth and state coverage.

In addition to 17 years in private legal practice, Lea has had 28 years of tribunal experience in the Fair Work Commission and the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission. Lea continues to serve on domestic sport related misconduct tribunals, community organisations and a related board.

Lea’s core professional background and skill has been problem-solving. Resolving disputes and grievances, mediation, conciliation, conducting workplace and other investigations, identifying corruption, identifying adverse cultural issues and achieving beneficial organisational change through cooperative processes have been the core of Lea’s legal and Tribunal experience.

Lea excels at identifying areas of difference between parties in a dispute and resolving those differences. Lea has superior investigative skills and extensive experience in resolving complex factual disputes and producing findings of fact and reports in a time sensitive manner. She is adept at producing findings and reports to achieve change and produce outcomes that not only resolve the particular dispute but also produce changes that future proof the parties against re-occurring issues.

During her tribunal service Lea undertook many speaking engagements at seminars, continuing legal education events, for individual employer and employee organisations  and at universities to enhance understanding of tribunal jurisdiction and processes.
